Adam Tooze is a distinguished British historian and professor at Columbia University.
He previously held positions at the University of Cambridge and Yale University.
Tooze earned his B.A. in economics from King's College, Cambridge, and later pursued studies at the Free University of Berlin before obtaining his doctorate in economic history from the London School of Economics.
His academic achievements include receiving the Philip Leverhulme Prize for Modern History in 2002.
Tooze is renowned for his economic analysis of historical events, particularly his award-winning study of the Third Reich's economy, "The Wages of Destruction," which earned him the Wolfson History Prize in 2006.
