Alex Bellos is a British writer and broadcaster with a diverse background in mathematics, philosophy, and journalism.
Born in Oxford and raised in Edinburgh and Southampton, he studied mathematics and philosophy at university before pursuing a career in journalism.
Bellos worked as a reporter for the Evening Argus and The Guardian, including a five-year stint as South America correspondent in Rio de Janeiro.
Since 2003, he has been based in London, working as a freelance writer and broadcaster.
Bellos has also created documentaries about Brazil and the Amazon for various networks, showcasing his versatility in media and his international perspective.
