Alexei Leonov

David Randolph Scott is an American former astronaut, test pilot, and retired U.S. Air Force officer.

He was the commander of Apollo 15, the fourth crewed lunar landing mission, and became the seventh person to walk on the Moon.

Scott also flew on Gemini 8 and Apollo 9.

His extensive experience in the space program gives him unique insight into the early days of space exploration.

Co-authoring "Two Sides of the Moon" with Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, Scott provides a balanced perspective on the Space Race, showcasing not only American achievements but also acknowledging the accomplishments of his Soviet counterparts.
