Anatoli Boukreev

Anatoli Nikolaevich Boukreev was a renowned Russian mountaineer known for his exceptional high-altitude climbing skills.

He gained international recognition for his heroic actions during the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, where he saved several lives.

Boukreev was known for his ability to climb without supplemental oxygen and his "old school" approach to mountaineering.
