Dr. Andrew Steele is a scientist, writer, and campaigner based in London.
After earning a PhD in physics from Oxford, he shifted his focus to computational biology, believing aging to be the most critical scientific challenge of our time.
Steele worked at the Francis Crick Institute, applying machine learning to DNA analysis and heart attack prediction.
Now a full-time science writer and presenter, he appears on television, produces YouTube videos, and gives talks ranging from lectures to science stand-up.
Steele has also campaigned for science funding as Chair of Science is Vital and creator of Scienceogram.
