Bruce M. Hood

Bruce MacFarlane Hood is a Canadian-born psychologist and author.

Raised in various countries due to his father's journalism career, he settled in Scotland at age 8.

Hood studied psychology at the University of Dundee and earned his Ph.D. from Cambridge in visual development in babies.

After a brief stint in London, he moved to Boston with his wife and daughter, unexpectedly staying for five years while teaching at Harvard.

Hood now resides in the UK near Bath, working at the University of Bristol's psychology department, conducting research, teaching, and writing books.

He lives with his wife and two daughters in a medieval barn.
