Caroline Paul

Caroline Paul is an American writer known for both fiction and nonfiction works.

After studying journalism and documentary filmmaking at Stanford University, she unexpectedly became one of the first female firefighters in the San Francisco Fire Department.

Paul spent most of her career on Rescue 2, a specialized unit responsible for various high-risk operations including search and rescue in fires, scuba dive searches, rope rescues, surf rescues, confined space rescues, hazardous material calls, and severe accident responses.
