Cassandra Clare
Cassandra Clare is an American author born to American parents in Tehran, Iran.
She spent her childhood traveling the world, living in various countries before settling in Los Angeles for high school.
Clare developed a love for books early on and began writing stories to entertain her classmates.
After college, she worked in entertainment magazines before turning to fantasy fiction full-time in 2006.
Her first novel, City of Bones, was inspired by the urban landscape of Manhattan.
Clare often writes in coffee shops and enjoys working alongside friends who help her meet deadlines.
Her most recent novel is Sword Catcher.
