Christina Rickardsson

Christina Rickardsson was born as Christiana Mara Coelho in Brazil, where she lived in poverty with her mother.

At age eight, she was adopted by a Swedish family.

Her memoir recounts her experiences living in a cave, begging on the streets of São Paulo, and adjusting to life in Sweden.

Rickardsson now works as an entrepreneur, author, and advocate for raising awareness about cultural differences and prejudices.
