Christophe Chabouté is a French author and illustrator of Alsatian origin.
He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Angoulême and Strasbourg.
Chabouté's career began in 1993 with contributions to a collective album about Arthur Rimbaud.
He gained recognition in 1998 with "Sorcières" and "Quelques jours d'été," the latter winning an Alph'Art Coup de Coeur at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
Chabouté has also illustrated children's novels.
His work is known for its distinctive black-and-white style and ability to convey complex narratives through visual storytelling.
