Dale McGowan is an atheist, author, and expert on raising ethical children without religion.
He wrote Parenting Beyond Belief and other books on secular parenting.
McGowan teaches workshops for nonreligious parents and founded the Foundation Beyond Belief.
Despite being an atheist, he married a Southern Baptist and has maintained a successful mixed-belief marriage for over two decades.
This experience inspired his book on secular/religious marriages.
McGowan holds degrees in anthropology and music, previously working as a music professor before becoming a writer.
He lives near Atlanta with his wife and three children.
