Dave Pelzer

Dave Pelzer is an American author best known for his memoir "A Child Called 'It'", which describes his experiences of childhood abuse.

Removed from his abusive home at age 12, Pelzer spent time in foster care before joining the Air Force in 1979.

He later became a successful author, writing memoirs and self-help books.

"A Child Called 'It'" was a bestseller, remaining on the New York Times Best Sellers List for six years.

In 2017, the film rights to the book were acquired, with Pelzer involved in adapting the screenplay.

The movie is set to begin production, with A-list talent reportedly interested in the project.
