David Servan-Schreiber was a French physician, neuroscientist, and author who made significant contributions to the field of integrative medicine.
Born in 1961, he held positions as a clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and lecturer at Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
Servan-Schreiber's work gained prominence after his own brain cancer diagnosis at age 31, which led him to explore complementary approaches to cancer treatment.
His bestselling book, "Anticancer," combined scientific research with personal experience to advocate for lifestyle changes in cancer prevention and treatment.
Despite his efforts, Servan-Schreiber passed away in 2011 at the age of 50 due to brain cancer.
