Deborah Rodriguez

Deborah Rodriguez is an American hairdresser, author, and motivational speaker best known for her memoir Kabul Beauty School.

She spent five years in Afghanistan, where she taught at and later directed the first modern beauty academy in the country.

Rodriguez also owned businesses in Kabul, including a salon and coffee house.

Her experiences in Afghanistan formed the basis for her bestselling memoir, which provided insights into Afghan culture and women's lives.

After leaving Afghanistan, Rodriguez relocated to Mexico, where she continues her writing career.

Her work combines her hairdressing background with her passion for empowering women through education and entrepreneurship.
