His Holiness Khyabjé Dilgo Khyentsé Rinpoché , born Tashi Peljor, was a prominent Vajrayana lama and the 2nd Supreme Head of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism from 1987 to 1991.
Considered the "mind emanation" of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, he escaped Tibet following the Dalai Lama and settled in Bhutan in 1965.
Khyentsé Rinpoché was renowned for his scholarship and meditation mastery, dedicating his life to study, retreat, and teaching.
His warm personality and profound insights made him a highly respected figure in Tibetan Buddhism, inspiring many through his teachings and writings.
