Gavin Kennedy was a Scottish economist and negotiation expert.
He founded Negotiate, a company that commercialized his teaching methods.
Kennedy held professorships at Strathclyde, Heriot-Watt, and Edinburgh universities.
He authored influential books on negotiation and trained thousands of managers in his techniques.
Kennedy's academic background included economics degrees from Strathclyde and a Ph.D. from Brunel University.
Beyond negotiation, he wrote biographies of William Bligh and Adam Smith.
