  • Genesis Breyer P-Orridge was an English artist, musician, and writer known for pushing boundaries in performance art and music.

  • Born Neil Andrew Megson in 1950, P-Orridge gained notoriety through confrontational work with COUM Transmissions and the industrial band Throbbing Gristle in the 1960s and 1970s.

  • Their art explored themes of gender, sexuality, and occultism, often generating controversy.

  • P-Orridge later formed Psychic TV, gaining wider recognition.

  • In 1993, they married Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge and began the "Pandrogyny Project," aiming to merge their identities into a single, non-binary entity.

  • This project continued after Lady Jaye's death in 2007 until Genesis' own passing in 2020.
