Genesis Breyer P-Orridge was an English artist, musician, and writer known for pushing boundaries in performance art and music.
Born Neil Andrew Megson in 1950, P-Orridge gained notoriety through confrontational work with COUM Transmissions and the industrial band Throbbing Gristle in the 1960s and 1970s.
Their art explored themes of gender, sexuality, and occultism, often generating controversy.
P-Orridge later formed Psychic TV, gaining wider recognition.
In 1993, they married Lady Jaye Breyer P-Orridge and began the "Pandrogyny Project," aiming to merge their identities into a single, non-binary entity.
This project continued after Lady Jaye's death in 2007 until Genesis' own passing in 2020.
