His most famous work, Portrait of a Turkish Family, is an autobiographical account of his family's struggles during and after the war.
In 1942, Orga met Margaret Veronyca in England, leading to his forced departure from the Turkish air force.
After marrying Veronyca in 1948, Orga pursued various jobs while developing his writing career, ultimately becoming a respected author known for his insightful portrayals of Turkish culture and history.
