Jeff Sutherland
Jeff Sutherland is a multifaceted professional with a diverse background.
A graduate of the United States Military Academy, he served as an Aircraft Commander in the USAF, flying over 100 missions in North Vietnam.
After his military career, Sutherland pursued medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he became involved in data collection and IT systems development.
He is best known as one of the inventors of the Scrum software development process, which he formalized with Ken Schwaber at OOPSLA'95.
Sutherland also contributed to writing the Agile Manifesto in 2001 and authored The Scrum Guide.
