Jim McKelvey

Jim McKelvey is an entrepreneur, inventor, and author best known as the co-founder of Square, a financial services and digital payments company.

He started Square with Jack Dorsey in 2009 after experiencing frustration with accepting credit card payments for his glassblowing business.

McKelvey has a background in computer science and engineering, having studied at Washington University in St. Louis.
