John Kaag

John Kaag is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and author of "American Philosophy: A Love Story." His work combines intellectual history with personal memoir, exploring the relevance of American philosophy to modern life.

Kaag's discovery of William Ernest Hocking's library led him on a journey of personal and philosophical exploration, centered around William James's question, "Is life worth living?"
