Jon Kabat-Zinn
Born in 1944
Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. , is a pioneer in integrating mindfulness into mainstream medicine and healthcare.
As the founding Executive Director of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, he developed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
Kabat-Zinn has authored numerous books on mindfulness, translated into over 30 languages.
His research focuses on mind-body interactions for healing and the clinical applications of mindfulness meditation.
He has received multiple awards for his work and has trained diverse groups in mindfulness, including CEOs, judges, and Olympic athletes.
Kabat-Zinn is also involved in promoting dialogue between Western scientists and the Dalai Lama through the Mind and Life Institute.
