Joseph Bruchac

Joseph Bruchac is an Abenaki author, educator, and storyteller from New York.

With over 70 books to his name, Bruchac's writing often draws from his Native American heritage and the Adirondack region.

He holds degrees from Cornell, Syracuse, and the Union Institute of Ohio.

Bruchac has received numerous awards for his work, including the American Book Award and the Native Writers Circle of the Americas Lifetime Achievement Award.

He is actively involved in preserving Abenaki culture and language, and frequently performs as a storyteller at events across the United States and Europe.
