Julia Armfield

Julia Armfield is a London-based fiction writer and occasional playwright born in 1990.

She holds a Masters in Victorian Art and Literature from Royal Holloway University.

Armfield has garnered recognition for her writing, including being shortlisted for the Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year in 2019 and winning the White Review short story prize in 2018.

Her debut book, "salt slow," is a collection of short stories focusing on bodies and bodily experiences.
