Kevin Hazzard worked as a paramedic in Atlanta from 2004 to 2013, primarily at Grady Hospital.
His experiences during this time formed the basis for his memoir, A Thousand Naked Strangers.
Hazzard's writing career extends beyond his paramedic memoir, including freelance journalism for various publications such as Atlanta Magazine and Creative Loafing.
He is also the author of a novel called Sleeping Dogs.
After his decade-long career in emergency medical services, Hazzard returned to writing full-time.
He has since contributed to television, writing episodes for the medical drama series Code Black.
Hazzard currently resides in Hermosa Beach, California with his family.
