Kim Reed

Kim Reed was born in 1978 and grew up on the East Coast.

She holds a BA from Siena College and an MSW from New York University.

Before becoming an executive assistant, Reed worked as a social worker in New York City for nearly a decade.

Her experiences in the restaurant industry, particularly her time working for Joe Bastianich and the B&B Hospitality Group, form the basis of her memoir.

Workhorse is Reed's debut book, chronicling her years in New York City's high-end restaurant scene and her role as Bastianich's executive assistant.
