Lizzie Damilola Blackburn

Lizzie Damilola Blackburn is a British-Nigerian author who grew up in Peckham.

She aims to write stories featuring Black protagonists in romantic comedies, filling a gap she and her friends have long noticed.

Blackburn's debut novel, Yinka, Where is your Huzband?, won the Literary Consultancy Pen Factor Writing Competition in 2019.

She wrote the book while working at Carers UK. The novel's title reflects a question Blackburn has faced numerous times in her own life.

Currently, she resides in Milton Keynes with her husband.
