Louise L. Hay overcame a troubled childhood marked by poverty, abuse, and teenage pregnancy.
She reinvented herself as a fashion model in New York before discovering the Religious Science movement.
This led her to explore metaphysical teachings and develop her own philosophy of healing through positive thinking.
Hay claimed to have cured her cervical cancer through mental techniques, which became the basis for her bestselling book "You Can Heal Your Life." Her ideas gained widespread popularity in the 1980s, leading to appearances on major talk shows and the establishment of her own publishing company, Hay House.
Despite controversy, Hay's work has influenced millions worldwide.
