Mary Balogh

Mary Jenkins Balogh is a Welsh-Canadian author born in 1944.

She began writing as a hobby while teaching English in Canada.

Her first Regency romance was published in 1985, and she became a full-time writer in 1988.

Balogh has since written over 70 novels and 30 novellas, including bestselling series like the "Slightly" sextet and "Simply" quartet.

She has won numerous awards, including Waldenbooks Awards and a Romantic Times Lifetime Achievement Award.

Balogh is known for her historical romances set in the Regency era and continues to be a popular author in the genre.
