Michael J. Fox is a Canadian-American actor best known for his roles in the Back to the Future trilogy and TV series Family Ties and Spin City.

Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1991 at age 29 but didn't disclose it publicly until 1998.
As his symptoms progressed, he retired from full-time acting in 2000.
