Mike Massimino

Mike Massimino is a former NASA astronaut who flew two space shuttle missions to service the Hubble Space Telescope.

He made history as the first person to tweet from space and set a record for cumulative spacewalking time in a single mission.

After retiring from NASA in 2014, Massimino became a pop culture figure, appearing on The Big Bang Theory and various media outlets.

He holds multiple degrees from Columbia University and MIT, and currently works as an engineering professor at Columbia and an advisor at the Intrepid Museum.
