Muhammad Iqbal

Sir Allama Mohammad Iqbal , born in 1877 in British India, was a renowned philosopher, poet, and political thinker.

Educated in Sialkot and Lahore, he later studied in Europe, obtaining a doctorate from Munich.

Iqbal was a practicing lawyer, professor of philosophy, and active in politics.

He is best known for his poetry and philosophical lectures, particularly "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam" (1930).

Iqbal's work blended Islamic scholarship with Western philosophical influences, aiming to revive Islamic philosophical thought.

He advocated for a separate Muslim state in India, though he died in 1938 before Pakistan's creation.

Iqbal's birthday is celebrated as a national holiday in Pakistan, where he is revered as a national poet and thinker.
