Orison Swett Marden

Orison Swett Marden was an American writer and key figure in the New Thought Movement.

Born in 1850 in New Hampshire, he faced early hardships, losing both parents by age seven.

Inspired by a self-help book he discovered as a youth, Marden pursued education relentlessly.

He earned degrees from Boston University, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Law School.

Marden also studied at the Boston School of Oratory and Andover Theological Seminary.
