Paul Twitchell

Paul Twitchell was born in Kentucky in the early 20th century and served in the US Navy during World War II. A lifelong spiritual seeker, he was introduced to the Vairagi ECK Masters, who trained him to become the Living ECK Master.

Twitchell explored various spiritual traditions before gathering the teachings of ECK, which he made accessible to the public.

In 1965, he began offering Soul Travel workshops and discourses on Eckankar in California.

Twitchell established Eckankar as a nonprofit religious organization in 1970 and initiated many into the ECK teachings before his death in 1971.

His work aimed to separate spiritual truths from cultural trappings, allowing average people to experience the Light and Sound of God while living productive lives.
