Peter Straub

Peter Francis Straub was an American novelist and poet known for his contributions to horror and supernatural fiction.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he developed a love for reading early in life.

Straub earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Columbia University before pursuing a writing career.

After initial forays into literary fiction, he found success with supernatural novels like "Julia" and "Ghost Story." Straub collaborated with Stephen King on several projects and published numerous acclaimed horror novels throughout his career.

He lived in New York City with his wife Susan and passed away in 2022 at the age of 79.
