Robert Kirkman is an American comic book writer renowned for creating The Walking Dead and Invincible for Image Comics.

He also contributed to Marvel Comics with works like Ultimate X-Men and Marvel Zombies.

Kirkman began his career self-publishing under his Funk-o-Tron label, creating Battle Pope with Tony Moore in 2001.

He transitioned to working with established publishers in 2002, starting with a SuperPatriot series for Image Comics.
