Robert Muchamore
Young Adult
Robert Muchamore was born in London in 1972 and worked as a private investigator until 2005.
He created the CHERUB series after his nephew complained about the lack of engaging books for young readers.
Robert Muchamore's first book, The Recruit, won the Red House Children's Book Award in 2005.
He is considered part of the "British Rat pack" of YA authors alongside Anthony Horowitz and Charlie Higson.
Muchamore's success with CHERUB led to a spin-off series called Henderson's Boys.
The CHERUB series is currently being adapted into a TV show.
