Robert Slater

Robert Slater was an American author and journalist known for his numerous biographies of political and business figures.
Born in Manhattan and raised in New Jersey, he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned a master's degree from the London School of Economics.
Slater's career included work for United Press International and Time magazine, primarily based in Jerusalem.
He authored over two dozen books, including works on Golda Meir, Yitzhak Rabin, and Donald Trump.
Slater also co-authored books with his wife Elinor on Jewish historical figures.
He spent much of his life in Israel, contributing to various publications and mentoring young journalists.
