Ruth Westheimer

Karola Ruth Westheimer , known as Dr. Ruth, was a German-American sex therapist, author, and media personality.

Born to a Jewish family, she survived the Holocaust and later immigrated to Palestine, where she joined the Haganah.

After studying psychology in Paris, she moved to the US, earning a doctorate from Columbia University.

Dr. Ruth gained fame through her radio show "Sexually Speaking" and subsequent TV appearances, becoming a cultural icon for her candid sex advice.

She authored numerous books, received various honors, and was the subject of a play and documentary about her remarkable life.
