Sebastian Faulks

Sebastian Faulks was born in 1953 in Newbury, England.

He studied at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, though he didn't enjoy his time there.

Faulks began his career in journalism, serving as literary editor of The Independent and deputy editor of The Sunday Independent.

He has since become a renowned novelist, with Birdsong being one of his most acclaimed works.

Faulks was awarded the CBE in 2002 for his contributions to literature.

He currently resides in London with his family.

His writing often explores themes of war, memory, and human relationships.
