Stephen Edwin King is a prolific American author known for his horror, suspense, and fantasy novels.
Born in 1947, King grew up in Maine and developed a passion for writing at a young age.
He studied English at the University of Maine, where he met his wife Tabitha.
After struggling to find work as a teacher, King worked at an industrial laundry while continuing to write and sell short stories.
His breakthrough came with the publication of "Carrie" in 1974, launching his career as a bestselling author.
King has since published numerous novels, short story collections, and non-fiction works, establishing himself as one of the most successful and influential writers of his generation.
