Stephen Tokan "Steve" Hagen is a Zen teacher and author known for his accessible writings on Buddhism.
He founded the Dharma Field Zen Center in Minneapolis and is a Dharma heir of Dainin Katagiri-roshi.
Hagen has written several popular books on Buddhism, with "Buddhism Plain & Simple" becoming a bestseller in the United States.
His work aims to present Buddhist concepts in clear, straightforward language for Western readers.
In addition to his Buddhist teachings, Hagen has explored the intersection of science, philosophy, and perception in his writing, revising and republishing his book on these topics in 2012.
