T. Lobsang Rampa
Tuesday Lobsang Rampa , born Cyril Henry Hoskin, was a British author who claimed to be possessed by the spirit of a Tibetan lama.
He wrote several books on spirituality and Tibetan culture, beginning with The Third Eye in 1956.
Despite never having visited Tibet, Rampa's works gained popularity and sparked interest in Tibetan Buddhism among Western readers.
His claims were widely disputed, and investigations revealed his true identity as a plumber from Devon.
Despite the controversy, Rampa maintained that his experiences were genuine, stating that he was channeling the spirit of a Tibetan lama.
His books continue to be read and debated decades after their publication.
