T.R. Fehrenbach

Theodore Reed Fehrenbach, Jr. was an American historian, columnist, and former head of the Texas Historical Commission.

A Princeton graduate and Korean War veteran, he authored over twenty books, including the bestseller "Lone Star: A History of Texas and Texans" and "This Kind of War" about the Korean conflict.

Fehrenbach was renowned for his expertise on Texas, Mexico, and the Comanche people.

He contributed to prestigious publications like Esquire and The Atlantic, and wrote a weekly column for the San Antonio Express-News for nearly three decades.
