Theodora Ross

Theodora Ross, M.D., Ph.D. is a distinguished cancer genetics specialist at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

She holds professorships in breast cancer research and internal medicine.

Dr. Ross received her M.D. and Ph.D. from Washington University and completed her residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Her research focuses on cancer cell mechanisms and the BRCA1 gene.

As director of the UT Southwestern Cancer Genetics Program, she cares for high-risk cancer patients.

Dr. Ross is also an advocate for cancer research funding and involved in training future physician-scientists.

She is a member of several prestigious medical societies and serves on the Board of Consulting Editors for the Journal of Clinical Investigation.
