Wab Kinew

Wab Kinew is a prominent Indigenous leader, politician, and author.

He currently serves as the 25th premier of Manitoba and leader of the Manitoba New Democratic Party.

Kinew has had a diverse career, including roles in journalism, academia, and music.

He gained national recognition as a CBC correspondent and host of the documentary series 8th Fire.

Kinew has been honored for his work in Indigenous advocacy and was an Honorary Witness for the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada.

He is a member of the Midewiwin, an Anishinaabe spiritual society, and lives in Winnipeg with his family.
