Wendy Mitchell

Wendy Mitchell is a former NHS team leader diagnosed with Young Onset Dementia at 58.

Motivated by the lack of awareness about dementia, she became an advocate for raising understanding and showing life can be fulfilling post-diagnosis.

Mitchell is an Alzheimer's Society ambassador and received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bradford for her research contributions.

She has authored two books on living with dementia, sharing her experiences and insights to help others navigate the condition.

Mitchell resides in Yorkshire and has two daughters.

Her work aims to challenge stereotypes and improve support for those affected by dementia.
